Khwaja Banda Nawaz Dargah
Khwaja Banda Nawaz, otherwise known as Hazrat Gesu Nawaz or Mahammad Gesu Daraz (1321-1422) was a Sufi saint of the Chishti order. He was a disciple of Nasir-uddin of Delhi and came to Gulbarga in 1413. The Bahmani ruler Ahmed Shah (1422-36) conferred rich endowments on him. The Saint's dargah is a large complex of tombs, mosques, madrasas and gateways. The tomb itself is venerated by both Muslims and Hindus. It has two storeys divided into arched recesses, with an elaborate balustrade.
